Grand child of mine. (2.4.2008)

When I realized
God had placed,
His precious Gift
 In daughter-in-law,
I found sweet a treasure
Equipped with all measure,
It’s hard to fathom
My boundless joy!

I thanked and thanked,
For this Gift I treasure,
For all His kind
And generous measure.

Oh, who’s in there, a boy?
Or a girl? I never asked God.
His Gifts are to enjoy
And ever, best indeed.

A Gift of surprise,
Nine months of suspense,
Kept me elated
On top of the world!

With much back ache,
And morn sickness, a lot,
Babe, kept mom awake,
Or more in sleep, I know not!

I told her, this is a time
We live not for us
Waiting for the time
And praying all the time.

I sit talking to my babe
From across the seas,
Sending my love and care
 Always, in case, it needs.

 Feeding through my thoughts
                                                  Satiating its hunger,
So as to enjoy its world
Full of vivid wonder.

Though in womb,
But not that of mine,
I heard its voice
Quite very well-known,
Divine Gift of mine
Oh, it’s babe, my own!
