Am I Happy..?

"Am I Happy..?"

I asked myself:-

“Am I happy?”

“Sometimes happy,

Sometimes not!”

“When not happy?

Don’t know why!

Why not happy?

Don’t know why!”

Thought of People,

Thought of things,

Thought of happenings-

That goes around.

Sorted Friends,

Sorted rest,

Sorted the best

Marked the rest.

Analysed People,

Analysed days,

Analysed words-

Lingering in mind.

Tried some Outing,

Tried some shopping,

Tried out dining-

And too dancing.

Tried new friends,

Tried new jobs,

Tried new dwelling-

And new Life-style.

Begged for Grace,

Begged for Wealth,

Begged for Love,

And for Peace.

Nothing mattered,

As I worked out.

Sometimes happy,

Sometimes not.

Don’t know when!

Don’t know why!

Why not happy!

When not happy!

Then came God

In my dream-cup.

Showed me LIGHT,

That WOKE ME up!

“Are you happy?

Or are you not?

You are Blessed-

With Best of Best!”

So said God; added-

“And stay Blessed!”

I looked IN-me

For first-a-time!

Wow!! Just wondered-

What IN-there!

Lots of Treasure,

Out of Measure!

How come dear,

I see them not

All these days!

My search was On

On-n-on-n-on

Yet, I found them not!

Now, I asked myself:

“Am I happy?

Or am I not?

Oh sure now,

Bliss! Bliss, just-

Flow-n-overflow!

I’m Happy, Hap-

Happiest of All!!

I found You IN!

‘You’ -  in ME

We are One

Now  ‘I am’ gone!”
